Privacy Policy
Last updated: 29 June 2026
Focus ("the app", "we") is a calendar and to-do app published by Apexphere. This policy explains what data the app accesses and how it is used. Focus has no backend server and no user accounts of its own — your data lives on your device.
What we access
-
Google Calendar (read-only). If you connect Google, Focus requests the
calendar.readonlyscope to read your events. - Apple Calendar (read-only). On iPhone, if you grant calendar access, Focus reads your local/iCloud events via Apple's EventKit.
- Basic profile (name, email, avatar) from Google or Apple sign-in, used only to show who is signed in.
How we use it
Calendar events are used solely to display your schedule (the day-dial, timeline, and calendar views) and to inform reminder timing. Focus is read-only — it never creates, edits, or deletes events in your calendars.
Where your data is stored
Everything — tasks, settings, and imported calendar events — is stored locally on your device. We do not run servers, and your calendar data and profile are not transmitted to us or any third party.
Google API Services — Limited Use
Focus's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically, Google Calendar data is used only to provide and improve the in-app calendar features visible to you, is processed on your device, and is never transferred or sold, used for advertising, or used to train generalized AI models.
Revoking access & deleting data
- Revoke Google access anytime at your Google Account connections; revoke Apple Calendar access in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Calendars.
- In the app, Account → Sign out disconnects calendars and removes imported events; Account → Erase all data deletes everything Focus stores on the device.
- Deleting the app removes all of its local data.
Children
Focus is not directed to children under 13.
